WORD OF THE MONTH: STAY PRAY’D UP

The Word of the Month of March is “Stay Pray’d Up!” The verse we will be focusing on is Psalm 43:10

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground. (NIV)

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.(NLT)

“Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. (NKJV)

When we pray to God and ask Him to teach us how we can fulfil His will, what we are doing is allowing Him to position ourselves in alignment with Him.

Notice the phrases “level ground”, “firm footing” and “land of uprightness” what we get from this is when we pray to God we are deepening and strengthening our roots in Him.

We are upright trees planted in firm roots where we cannot be shaken by the obstacles of life.

When we pray in God’s will, we are praying from this position.

Like Jesus said in John 15:5 ““I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Realise that when we submit ourselves to God’s will in prayer we are remaining, abiding in Him so that in every season, no matter if it a harvest or a dry one, we are going to bear fruit.

You may be thinking “but how can I produce fruit in a dry season, in a season where nothing is happening, I am waiting, or everything is going wrong, I’m being faced with so many battles, we’re in a whole pandemic?”

Let me ask you this, who or what is your source? Because who or what you are connected to will provide the resource to your season. And therefore will determine the outcome of your very season.

Let me remind you of Psalm 1:3 “That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”

See, this tree is you and the streams of water is Jesus; for He is the water of life (John 7:37-39). So, when we are connected to God in prayer and submit to His will, what we are doing is being connected to the Source, to be provided with the resource to help determine the outcome of our season.

So, no matter the season you are in, including the dry one make sure you STAY PRAY’D UP. Because your firm roots are planted in the Source, Jesus, who will outpour a fountain of resources to lead you on a level, firm, upright and fruitful path, prospering in every season and not being withered by the circumstances of life.

So, starting from today in prayer instead of getting caught up in the shoulda, coulda and woulda’s, ask God what are you trying to teach me in this season?

Stay connected to the Source and Stay Pray’d Up!

Stay Blessed,

Divine L.
